2024: Held Seventh solo exhibition at Harrington Arts Centre, Kolkata between 12th and 29th November, 2024, with 138works, executed majorly in 2024, including ten 6 Feet by 6 Feet Acrylic works on Canvas.

2023: Sixth Solo exhibition at The Tollygunge Club, Kolkata inaugurated by Sri Jogen Chowdhury and Sri Goutam Ghosh.

2025: Participated in the online “Winter Carnival” group show of SMS Artists Group.

2025: Participated in “World Art Dubai” (WAD) 2025 with twenty paintings

2024: Nineteen mega-sized works measuring 36 to 132 Square Feet kept in permanent collection of The Tolly Club. Have commissioned Twenty-two mega-sized works measuring 36 to 60 Square Feet for a nature oriented real estate project.

2024: Calcutta Club, Kolkata, kept four mega-sized works measuring 36 Square Feet each as a part of their permanent collection.

1999: Commissioned three paintings in oil with sizes of 6 square feet each for three pages of the limited edition calendar of ITC Benson & Hedges, curated by “Galerie 88”, Kolkata. The show of these paintings traveled all the metros.

1995: Commissioned a series of forty-two paintings in acrylic on canvas with sizes ranging from 6 to12 square feet for Park Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Chennai.

1994: Works exhibited in the “Show of Abstractionists” at Gallery Katayun, Kolkata

1980: Started painting on his own. Basically a self-taught artist with no formal/institutional training in art.

A 115-page coffee table book was published on the inaugural day of the above show, titled “QUEST WITHIN – ART OF SILAJIT”, Forwarded by Sri Prabhakar Kolte, Text by Sri Nanak Ganguly, Photographed by Sri Nepal Bhadra and Designed by Sri Pinaki De.

Works awarded with honorable mentions several times during the years from 1994 to 2000, in the annual exhibitions held by three eminent government / private entities in India, namely: (1) West Bengal State Fine Art Council (2) Birla Academy of Art and Culture (3) Lalit Kala Academy.
